We, Karin and Martin Melcher, run our family business in Drobollach at lake Faaker See. We took over in spring of 1999, as a result of the retirement of Martin's parents. The house was built in 1959 by Martin's grandfather and handed over to Martin's father in 1978. Our hotel is located on a sunny hill in the small village of Drobollach with a beautiful view of the turquoise lake Faaker See and the Karawanken mountain range.
The lake is only a 10 minute walk from the house and we gladly provide bathing cards for the lido free of charge. Martin, who has been a chef for 30 years spoils you with typical Carinthian delcacies. For breakfast, a rich buffet awaits you. Our half-board includes a 4-course menu and a rich salad buffet. The rooms, as well as the apartments are all equipped with satellite TV, shower / toilet ensuite, some with balcony or terrace and lake view. For a get-together after dinner, our cozy alpine lounge with an open fireplace is just around the corner from the main building.
A great advantage is the central location of our house. The closest city is Villach and can be easily reached by car in 10 minutes, and the provincial capital of Klagenfurt can be reached within 25 minutes by car. Excursions across the border to Italy or Slovenia can be made in 30 minutes. In our vicinity there are many beautiful and interesting sights to admire.
